    Responsibilities

    We are looking for a versatile freelance Comp Artist/Illustrator/Designer to support our growing design team. You will collaborate with a team of designers, writers, and studio arts teams to create original pieces of artwork to bring our creative concepts to life.

     

    You will be responsible for translating loose thumbnails sketches concepts into simple, clear illustrations that gets the idea across in clever and unexpected ways.

     

    This is a temporary hire on-site role in our Chicago office.

     

    What You’ll Do:

    You will work closely with the art director and other team leads in creating in store displays, character art, story board frames, still life, vehicle, architecture, and environment art from quick roughs through color comps toward final quality art. Create artwork for various channels such as in store, traditional advertising, shopper /promo programs  and social media. Have the ability to mimic a variety of illustration styles

     

     

    Qualifications

    Your skills:

    • BFA in design or illustration or relevant work experience
    • Strong portfolio that demonstrates problem solving skills and attention to detail
    • Proficiency in Illustrator, Photoshop have both traditional and digital drawing skills
    • Excellent design, color, and typographic skills
    • Energetic and enthusiastic
    • Strong organizational skills

     

    Bonus skills:

    • Experience with animation tools
    • Experience with 3D tools
    • UI design
